Brad Newell's String Thing is a unique twist on the usual singersongwriter style. I sing and play original and cover material while playing guitar,banjo,mandolin,and various other string instruments along with my standup bass player Bob Martin. Bluegrass, folk,blues, jazz, and other styles pop up throughout the show. Bob and I are seasoned professionals who know hundreds of songs, and have shared the stage with such notable performers as Melisa Etheridge, Suzanne Vega, Jerry Jeff Walker, Donovan, and The Cowboy Junkies.
